believe me, you were a help by confirming the steps I had already taken were all that could be done short of format/re-install. Links provided by all provided me w/further reading/learning and the growing sense of impending doom. ;>))By not having any other suggestions (which is why I posted here at Ex-Ex) let me know it was futile.
