database programming in c++ using mysql

hi,

i have downloaded the mysql++ api for database programming in c++, but i am not able to run the examples given in the downloaded copy.

Can u let me know the step wise procedure for connecting to mysql from c++

Do you have to use their API?
Can you use ODBC?

copy lib file in your C++ App, copy dll in system32\, include lib file in project/link, u should be able to call the functions from that point. let me know if u have any other problems.
