The massive cleanup effort started for me before I took on the Moderator role as an expert who didn't like the whole idea of abandoned questions, and continue for me in my Moderator role as well.  We have less than a handful of moderators at this time, and 176 TAs to cover with more new ones to be delivered in a month or so, after the rewrite is completed.  It is, indeed, a massive effort.  Some experts have wanted to be involved more activity in their respective TAs, so I created this general Q in CS on the process, in the event it interests you as well, Mike.
