We have more people using our Windows 2000 terminals (connected to Win2k Server) than there are terminals.

If we change to roaming profiles, we will need as many licenses as there are people, or only as many licenses as there are computers?

Dear SDF.

What license mode you are using here with the server?
Per Server or Per Seat ?? That's the question !
If you're using Per Server which is the more common choice the number of licenses is equal to the number of concurrent connections to the server, and in this case using roaming profiles or local profiles will not make a different.
Per Seat means that you are in need for number of licenses equal to the number of users that will need to access the server.
so .. what's your license mode ?
and another q. are you talking here about Terminal Services App. mode License also .. cause this makes another different
