This is to give you the points for your input in this very old question which was locked against -1 userid.  Thanks for bringing the error to our attention.  We merely processed what the Asker originally awarded, and the only Proposed Answer that existed was the one awarded.

This should fix that.

Thanks again,

Thanks, Moondancer.

BTW, the error I mentioned is also ocurring in several other threads with the "-1" bug. Mostly the actual answer that was given is the missing comment.

Question answered.

BTW, in the question

there are several comments missing (most of them from Stuart).

Sorry, Alex, I can't possibly address problems on items this old; doing the best I can.  Lucky to have found these problems in the first place and a way to correct them so that experts can finally receive the points as they were originally awarded by the asker.  Wish I could do more, but as it is I volunteer here as a Moderator more than 80 hours/week on the average the past year and can't even keep up with current volumes.

I see your point. I am not suggesting these old question are corrected on a question-by-question basis, as far as the missing comments are concerned. I just thought that there could be a system-wide fix that could also prevent these problems on happening again. Maybe some programming error or something in the Oracle server (you guys are still using Oracle, right?).

Neverthless, you are doing a great job.

Yours,

Alex

Thanks, Alex.

Please do me a favor and post your recommendations in any of these links:

We're doing a rewrite which will take 3-6 weeks to fix some of the major inherited problems, and hopefully many of our past roadblocks will be resolved.  More about this here:

The above is PART III of "bugs", that I posted on behalf of Ken, the Community Advocate since the prior two links with probs just got too big.  It includes the goto links of prior Q.

Thanks again,
