Two easy questions.

1st...when does an applet require that the browser have the java plug-in?  I have noticed that some java applets require when others dont.

2nd...Can i have a button in my applet that opens a browser window?  If so how do i do that?

1 - when the applet needs java 1.2 and hier version
2 use:
getAppletContext().showDocument(URL url, String target)
method of your applet.
