"X" ratings in AGP and CDROM

AGP and CDROM uses " X " ratings to identify their speed. AGP is 4X while CDROM is 52X. Are the ratings measured the same ie CDROM 52X means 13 times faster than AGP 4X.

For AGP:
BUS Type     Width     Speed     Bandwidth
AGP1X       32(bits)   66.6(mHz) 266 (MM/sec)
AGP2X       32         66.6      533
AGP4X       32         66.6     1066
For CDROM:
Drive Speed     Transfer Rate
1X            150(K/sec)
2X            300
3X            450
