Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a BDE Driver available for Progress (uncertain of version, but I am assuming 9.x)??

I'm not fussed if it's free, shareware, open source, send in your first born, I just need one :)

Thanks heaps.

Stu.

Stu,

I've been looking for the same thing (actually for ADO of ODBC drivers for progress).

The only ones I could find was made by the same company that makes the Merant drivers (if you search for Merant and Progress you will be able to find the company site).

They have ODBC and ADO drivers available but none of these run on Win95. They have all the info available.

Our way around it was to use Merant as a link to the Progress database and to set the progress database up as a linked database in a MSSQL server. This allowed us to access the Progress database via a MSSQL database for which drivers are easily obtainable.

Hi Gerhard,

Thanks very much for your posting.  This is very informative news.  I'll look into Merant now and see what I can find.  I'll let you know if I find anything as well.

Cheers!

Hi Gerhard,

Thanks for your help with this question.  There doesn't seem to be a BDE driver for Progress.  I will let you know through this thread in the future if I find one.
