Once again, a question about my configuration of a DNS server, I don't understand : all my files are correct, the 192.168.0,dns_test.fr,named.conf,127.0.0 respond ok to the -checkconf but the other computer doesn't respond to my dns server, and the deamon : named start correctly at the first boot and kill him self after a few seconds .
Should I looking for bind 9.2.0 cause i'm working on 9.1.3

What does it mean? what can I do?

If named is dying, then there's something wrong with your named config file or the zone files. You can find out what named doesn't like by looking at /var/log/messages.

I happen to be in the US, Alabama to be specific.

It sounds like you've had some success. I don't know if there's a French edition or not, but "DNS and BIND", published by O'Reilly is considered to be the definitive reference on Bind. I highly recommend it to anyone that is going to be setting up and/or managing a DNS server.
