exporting from OE6 to Outlook 2000

I am trying to export my email from outlook express 6 to outlook 2000.  In OE6, I used the export command in the file menu for my email. Then I went to Outlook2k and tried to bring in that email (dbx files - folders of email in OE6 format)  but this failed, could not import.  OE6 gives you no options in how to export email, and Outlook2k gives you no option to import OE6 email.  I have tried to import it using the OE5x and MMF options and no good.
