Outlook Automation and CDO/MAPI

I have the Unique identifier of a message (MAPI property PR_ENTRYID) which I get using CDO. I need to map this to the equivalent message/contact etc using Outlook automation. Is there a simple method of the Outlook or MAPINamespace objects that will allow me to do this using Outlook automation, or do I have to iterate through all the folders, checking the Ids of all the folder items manually until I find a match?

As an aside, can anybody recommend any decent Outlook automation reference material, preferably online.

  Cheers,

  Steven.

Since you have Office installed, go to your Program Files\Microsoft Office\1033 folder and open up the VBAOUTL9.CHM help file.  Then you can look up EntryID and get some good information on it.
