no matter what language you use to "hide" a table, via code, runs the RISK that if the database were EVER to be Repaired and Compressed, without that TABLE being made visible (VIA CODE), then, after the Compress and Repair action, that HIDDEN table will be FOREVER LOST, you will NEVER be able to see or access that tabel again.  A Table which hidden by code, CANNOT be made visible again by simply using the Tools/Options/Show Hidden Object check box.

You can set the table's attributes to dbHiddenObject providing you are using DAO.
This can only be done in code. The table will remain hidden regardless of the
Tools/Options/Show Hidden Objects property. It can only be unhidden using code.
I always use the dbHiddenObject attribute and have never had a problem with
not being able to access the table after compacting and repairing the database.
