AUTORUN Plays Twice in WIN XP - Once (As Desired) in WIN2K

Hi.

I'm working on a family CD of photos (JPEGs, GIFs, WAVs, etc.) and I burned a CD with the following AUTORUN.INF file containing the following:

[autorun]
OPEN=CHUCKKELLYS.EXE

where the executable, CHUCKKELLYS.EXE is a simple Visual Basic program.

When I put this CD into the drive under XP, two separate instances of this VB program were run. It was annoying.

When I put the same CD into the drive under Windows 2000, this program ran once and ran perfectly.
To make this more confusing, I believe that the family members it's intended for still have their PC running Windows95.

Does Windows95 support the autorun feature? Why does XP run this twice?

Don't know why XP runs it twice--I certainly haven't noticed the same problem with commercial autorun CDs--but Windows 95 certainly DOES support autorun, so it's possible you don't need to worry about it.

I'm finding out that the CD-RW which came with my new Dell has quite a few 'funky' things about it. I guess as soon as I can scrape together some money, I'll go out and buy a Yamaha or a Plextor drive.
