Sir,
I will write a C program(or C++) to compress a file. I f the front end is designed with VB, with user interface designed for accepting file to be compressed and a button is provided for compress.
Please tell me how to achieve this? Also, I want the compressed file to be avialble through VB interface to the user.

Use shell function with required parameters:
shell "c:\myproginc.exe " & "parameter parameter.....", vbnormalfocus
For compress from VB, go to www.vbaccelerator.com which has a nice dll to zip files.
