How can we as a whole wipe out the illegal practices of LOP.COM.  It doesn't matter how the bug ,trojan or worm was aquired it is.  Now what to do.  To take contron of sombodys computer from overseas is very scary.  At a time we need to be more viglant if they can be allowed to do what there doing what next.  The disease needs to be concord and eradicated.  As I mentioned in another place LOP means rabbit and thats exactly what the culprit is doing.  before I had to reformat the attacts on my fire wall were retlentless not trying to break into my firewall but out to hook uo with unitzed.com all roads lead to PULSE WEB VENTURES.  MY question what can we do?

Just a suggestion. Download Adaware (search for it on the web). That program searching on your harddisk for programs that send information to websites or other machines. Adaware lets you then remove that part so that information will not be sent.

With all my writing and talking about what were up against I will once again reinterate.  NO conventional means deleats, removes or renders this culpret harmless.  Adaware looks for convential extentions that ad companys use to collect data.  LOP on the other hand does exactly what the name lop means rabbitt (hop).  It directs you to NEWTOPSITES.com with the caption DON'T WAIST YOUR TIME.  It then bombards you with pop ups which pop up killer takes care off but it starting to take a long time or I should say did take a long time untill I finally had to reformat my hard drive.

First of all lop.com is a search engine and all software that gets installed is installed on request of the user. The software may be intrusive, but you should always read the fine print (user agreement) before you install software. They offer a seperate uninstaller
The Adaware 5.7 "Detects and removes Lop.com and the recent Alexa and Cydoor versions" ...
You also might want to check http://www.cexx.org/adware.htm for information how to remove lop.com software.

The uninstall doesn't work.  The page you sugested is by far the best I've seen and I will research futher,  However from what I have seen it is the same techniques I have applied without results. As far as the rest of your comments!! I'm greatfull for you responce.  I don't want to have a pissing contest.  I have done much research on LOP.COM and have posted such to other threads.  If you dont see a severe problem O WELL I do.

No comment has been added lately, so it's time to clean up this TA.
I will leave a recommendation in the Cleanup topic area that this question is:
 - PAQ'd and pts removed

nah ... the old rule says: "First reasonable answer gets the points" and Adaware is still one of the best tools for removing those pests.

Hmm, experts not wanting points...

So I propose:
 -  PAQ'd and pts removed

Thus both of your comments (the "points to" part) are fullfilled :-)
