Question/ problem about my computer saving pics from the internet !!!!!!!!

I made some changes and am not sure what I did.  Before, when I right clicked and saved pics from a web page into my folder, I could click the pic once in my folder and get a preview of it in the left corner of the folder.  Now, I cannot unless I change the pic to a bitmap image or something.  I still have my folder set to view "as web page" so that's not it.  I must have changed the folder options somehow.  The icons used to show as that little JPEG image and now all the icons show as a little blue "e" in a web page.  Properties says it is a "JPG" file.  HOW CAN I CHANGE IT BACK?

one way is to boot to dos, and from the prompt type scanreg /restore
choose a date before  this happened
not the space between scanreg and /restore
or go here and get the fix

I actually have Second Chance installed, but I have no idea when this started and now it has been at least a few weeks and I don't want to lose other changes I have made.

**********copy everything above this line*******

now hit enter twice so there are some blank lines uderneath what you copied
now save it as "fix.reg" and as all file types
note the quotes
now double click on the fix.reg file
reboot and all should be ok
