win2K and NT4 domains

We are installing a win2k pdc AD server. There exists already a nt4.0 sp6a pdc.
I cannot at this moment plan any migration.  Is it possible to create a trust relationship between the 2000 domain and the nt4 domain?
I want users to authenticate to the AD2000 domain but also be able to access data on in the NT4.0 domain.
Many thanks.

You should be able to in mixed mode, but not in native mode. Below is a link that may help.

you can create a Win2k AD domain and configure a trust relationship with the NT4 domain.  However, all your user accounts will be the NT4 side.  You'll have to use a migration tool to move it over - which is not what you want to do.
This way, users will authenticate with NT4 and have access to resources on the Win2k side.
