i am behind a firewall and if i want to send voice-data across it then ?

Hello experts

Making the question little more refined i would like to ask u that i have made a client-server application .This is basically a chat software where i want that my client can even work behind a proxy . I am developing the application in VC++
so please give me links and code if possible

what U actualy want ?
I don't think any  APIs can overcome firewall

If you have firewall with proxy server consider using Win32 Internet functions. Look for InternetOpen() function in MSDN. Or look at the CInternetSession related classes (in MFC). They are actually object wrappers around WinINet functions.
