how can I draw a polygon with radius 10 and 9 vertices?
same thing for 6 vertices?

also what is the name of such polygons?

Hmm doesn't this look like a school question ?

You can use a triangle fan with a center point and 8 vertices around it.

The angle between points are 2PI/8

yes, this is related to school question.

my main probelm is at the angle. I have not touch maths for
like 12 years. the use of PI reminds me of radians (spelling?)
and degrees. I went back to library to read up on the diff.
between them. It helps.

You are right. D3D normally uses radians instead of the normal 360 degree system, so that's why I used it.
