Setting up FTP from WAN IP to local IP

I am on a DSL network that has a public IP and then in turn routes local ip's to the office computers.  ie...192.168.0.5.  I want to access files my work computer from home by using Bulletproof ftp server.  How I do set up the router so that it will direct incoming ftp requests to my computer?  Please speak in baby talk because I am only good enough with networks to be dangerous.

you need to configure the router to route port 21 to the machne that is running the ftp server
ie 192.168.0.5
most routers have an http: interface, and you log into that, and depending on the router, one of the configuration pages allows you to do this. It helps if yu are using static ip's for your lan
I have a d-link, and the configuration page is from the advanced tab, and it is called virtual server, and this is where I forward the port (21) to my xp box (192.168.0.2)

This router is on the wall and is served by Nuvox communications...maybe it would be smart to call them and ask how..but yes, we are set up with DHCP which is screwing everything up for us anyway.
