watching others pc monitor and controlling

I use tridiavnc.They have a free version that installs as a service and comes with a regscript to disable the system tray icon.You can then launch the vnc viewer from vb using the shell command.You can launch the viewer and take control of the machine,or you can launch it with the /viewonly switch to silently monitor.

You should install a terminal server service on your network and have users connect to those servers.  Then you can shadow them and see exactly what they are doing and even control their session any way you want.  Citrix has all the features.

As for VB, no help here.

I would go for a simple life and use a product like Dmitriy suggests.

For just $35 you can use RADMIN www.radmin.com you can download a 30 day trial demo version.  RADMIN is very simple to install and use.  The login and conversation is encrypted so it is secure enough to be used over the internet.

You can use VNC which is free but not so good:

It is possible to create a VB program but compared to a cost of just $35 its not even worth trying.  I have seen some code examples of a VB program to do this.  I have done some trials on a lan using Winsock. And it would be amply fast enough as you can send upto 1500 messages per second bewteen PC's.

I am with vnc. If that's not enought, try PC Anywhere.
