When I started my computer this morning, my McAFEE program deteced a virus in my MNSVC.EXE file and could not clean it so deleted it.  What is this file used for (what program) and do I need it?

Thanks,  Lorie

It's a virus or some kind of spyware.  Delete it and associated files as describer here:

The only thing I used my computer for yesterday were to do some searches on google and play a couple of games of upwords at games.com.  My computer crashed on that site, so I'm assuming it may have been from there or maybe one of the pop up ads when I was doing my searches.  Maybe this will help somebody else.

Yes, it will.  This MNSVC.EXE thing is a new problem within the last week, we're only learning the details now.
