Install Shockwave from local CD, not Internet

I uninstalled my Shockwave/Flash Plugin using the Macromedia uninstaller to test the reaction of not having the plugin installed.

I get :

This application requires the Shockwave 8 Player, which is not installed. Click OK to download it

It's normal that i get a popup since something is missing, but if you press OK, you are taken to the Macromedia download website.

But i do not want to send the user to the web site, the Full install is on the CDROM i created, is there a way to link this popup to the local file (present on CDROM)instead of the internet??

Hope you can help or give me some information on how to proceed....

Thankx

NJ

The answer is to provide a batch file or executable that installs the shockwave player upon (or prior to) installation of your application.  It can be a batch file that executes upon inserting the disc (if they have it set to autoplay). Otherwise, the default for Macromedia is to send the user to their own website.
