sendmail - attachment

hi,

encountered a problem using sendmail to send attachment like excel spreadsheet or word documents...

have no problem attaching txt files though...

below is part of wat i have coded in the program... wat could possible went wrong?? hope someone can help me on this.... the mime version is 1.0

How do you send the file?

cat <filename> | uuencode <filename> | /usr/lib/sendmail user@remoteadd.domain.com

should work.
