1) We are having enterprise oracle 8.1.6 on Win' NT4.
2) We have large number of clients accessing database using browsers via middle tier/business logic's connection pooling.
3) What factors come into picture. Two I know of is the processes = 65 and parallel_max_servers = 5. What are the implications of these 2 and what are their max values. Does each connection to database occupy a process.
4) When there are large number of users, which mode should be adopted, shared/dedicated/parallel server. Do each of the modes have a spicific performance pattern.
