I need to do a rollout of office 2000 pro.
I'm trying to use the msiexec program.
I need the language and cd-key strings
I have tried the following with not a great deal of success.
msiexec /i d:\data1.msi /j INSTALLANGUAGE="english"....
SERIALKEY="1234-1234-1234-1234"
I can run
msiexec /i d:\data1.msi qn+ but of course i'm asked for the cd key on first opening MS WORD.
Can anyone help
Many thanks.

Hi Bluez,

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q223393

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q224334

To create an administrative install so the CD Key number is automatically pushed down with the Installer package, type the following command at a command prompt, and then press ENTER:

msiexec /a path to .msi file PIDKEY="[CD-Key]"

You can add the following additional parameters to the msiexec command-line switch:

USERNAME=[ user name ], COMPANYNAME=[ company name ], USERINITIALS=[ userinitials ]

for a long overview on creating an administrative install
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q284273

you can create a custom setup on the administrative machine but for language settings i guess you've to include them on the administrative setup
