Can Visual Studio .Net still create non .Net applications?

I would like to play with the new studio, but I'm not about to install it if it destroys my ability to work in Visual C or Visual Basic normally for non .Net platforms.

Visual C++ 7.0 can create apps that do not run into the .Net framework. All other languages require the framework to run. You can have VB6 and VS.Net installed on the same computer without problems.

I'm hoping that when you install visual studio .net that what happens is you now have what looks like the same old visual studio, but now with options for working with C# or VB.Net (leaving C++, VB, etc. all alone).

Is that how it goes, or do you have 2 different studios and/or does anything get overwritten?
