What is the most reliable way to promote an NT 4 DNS secondary server to a primary server ?

When DNS is concerned your primary and secondary servers and exact duplicates. The Secondary DNS server is just a copy of your zone files, etc.

There really isn't a DNS Promotion tool (that I am aware of - I could be wrong).

Heres another article I found. Might be of use. It's a how to on replacing the current primary DNS server with a new Primary DNS server.
