Multisession CD burning with Nero

I am using Nero version 5.5.8.0 for the first time, having previouslu used Easy CD Creator 4. I want to create a data CD to which I
can later replace updated files and add new files. I specified to start a new multisession CD, and I did not click the Finalize CD
box. The CD was created ok the first time, but when I try to continue the multisession next time, it tells me that the CD is not
writeable. This is a CD-R CD. If I use the info option to see what's on the CD, it reports one session with one track, but is unable
to report the size of anything ie. the track, the free space, etc. I've searched newsgroups for "multisession", but other Nero
users seem to be able to create multisession CD's. In fact they say that this is one of the easiest feature sto use in Nero! What could I be doing wrong?

I did NOT check Finalize CD. When I use the info option to see what's on the CD, it reports one session with one track, although it can't tell me the size of the track. However, I cannot add any more information to this CD, even though only 10mb have been written in the first session.

You may need the INCD installed.

Also, did you read the documentation that comes with Nero. It should have details.

I normally use CD-RW for anything that requires more than a single write.

I hope this helps !
Maybe it is a problem with the drive...what make/model is the drive you're burning with?

It's a Yamaha CRW4416S. I burn at 2x or 4x, and the CD could be added to at a friend's house (using Easy CD Creator).
Ensure you're using the latest firmware for the drive:
