Animated text

I would like to create a text animation simular to the one found on the website stated bellow
(The small flash animation with the word PSA Careers):

http://www.psa.com.sg/career/scholar.html

Can anyone help me by providing me steps on how to
implement such animations. Your help is kindly appreciated.

Regards
Eugene

I am familiar with graphics and buttons, but I have not
used the movie option available on flash.

select frame..say 20 and hit F6 to insert a keyframe..
copy and paste the A into here and then resize it
to quite small..(modify/transform/scale)..

I am confuse over here.
There is another way to do it.

select frame 20.
go..insert/keyframe.. this inserts a keyframe into
frame 20.
click on the A and copy.
click on frame 20 and paste
Now we have an A in frame 1..and an A in frame 20..
both the same.

Pressing key F6 does both of these actions at the
same time..copies the content of the previous keyframe..
in this case frame 1 and inserts it into a keyframe
in whatever frame you have selected (in this case 20..
so it's a shortcut that saves a lot of time )

when you are using the menus like insert/keyframe..
just to the right of the word in this case keyframe you
will see F6..
They are all through the drop down menus and learning
them as you go is very handy..

sorry..and the re-size is so that we can set up a transition from large to small and so get movement.

If there is no difference between the content of one keyframe and the next, then nothing will appear to happen.

This is what keyframes are for..they are the point at which there is a change in the content and this allows
flash to fill in everything in between when you 'tween'
and so give us the animation.

I see what was confusing you now..duh..I had doubled
up on the instruction for putting the A in frame 20..

and sorry I was a bit slow responding to your initial post..was watching a movie.

Ive done a test on IE and Netscape 4+. On IE the flash object looks fine. But on Netscape the two flash object
which appears as one on IE, is separated by a white
space. How do I solve this problem?. The sample page
can be found in this URL.

This is another question altogether.

How is the animation going?

well animation is going well..but its not perfect when I implement it on my website.
Is the problem with the letters moving or something else?

You will get the same as what you saw in the 'Test Movie'
as far as the Flash object is concerned.

If you have the animation working and there is another
issue..close this question and post another.

well 50 points is alot, used to give according to the
question but now it looks like some sort of stock market
instead of knowledge-based kinda thing. No offence. Is
this strategy used to get us to buy points...:)

Eugene

50 points is like 50 dollars.
I used to pay 50 a month for my tuition fees.
2 days a week is my classes and time allocated
is 2 hours per day.
Best of all, I can ask many questions..:)
No offence, but am trying to justify.
Stop it Eugene you're breaking my heart..
Thanks for the points.
Look at the question that is number  5 on the Flash
list at the moment..border in Netscape etc..You might find the answer to your other problem there..for free!
Cheers
