MDAC Install Problems

I Installed MDAc 2.7 and I am trying to Jet 4.0 and I keep getting an error that the provider can not
be found or may not be properly installed.

I looked at the ODBC sources and I have the 3.5 versions of Access drivers.  I did the uninstall using
the dasetup /u routine and I am still having problems.

The Jet components have not been included in MDAC since version 2.6.

Again they have not been included in MDAC since 2.6.  In other words 2.5 was the last vesion to include them.

This article from MSDN may make more sense:
INFO: MDAC Version 2.6 and Later Do Not Contain Jet or Desktop ODBC Drivers (Q271908)
