How to Configure Apache to Return Un-Cacheable Content?

We use Apache web servers to serve configuration information. However, the problem we are seeing is that proxies out there are caching the configuration data, and when the data changes, end-users get old data.

Is there any way to configure Apache to *always* generate the "Cache-Control: no-store" and "Pragma: no-cache" HTTP directives in responses? I know that I could use PHP to generate these headers automatically, but I'd rather not do it that way if there is a way to do it in Apache itself.

Thanks!

Take a loot at mod_expires.

http://httpd.apache.org/docs/mod/mod_expires.html

In addition, you can use mode_header to add the header in Apache response:
