Im using Outlook 2000 build 9.0.0.2711 which I just installed recently on my win98 machine.<br />
<br />
I realise now that when I send any smallMS word file as an attachment to say my hotmail account, the hotmail account shows the file as winmail.dat and not xxxx.doc<br />
<br />
But the attachments seems to remain intact when I email it to myself and view it again in outlook.<br />
<br />
What can be the cause of this problem?<br />
