Data report and Data environment

I would like to know how ot use those two items i mentioned up there. Currently i m doing a database on student's registration. i would like to know how do i put one student's results into report using vb, i m told that use data report can solve my problem, but i m not sure how to go about with it. how do know which report to print or which data to load. i hope there is help provided asap.

under projects click on more activex designers/data environment

set up your data environment (ie. connection to db, which table etc... it's a wizard, i think you can figure it out)

after your data environment is set up... click on projects/add data report

if you open your data environment (dbl click on it) you should be able to see the fields from your table... drag them onto the data report

well, i think i have done that already. i just need help on the coding part, especially on sql queries, how do i put codes into data report, i haven done that before, what coding do i need to learn

can you give more details on what you are trying to do?

do you want to pass parameters from vb to your data environment so you can do something like:

Select * from tblYourTable where ID = ?

and then be able to pass ID to the query in the data environment?

well, i figured it out to put those data in the data report with some help from my friends and also from 'help'.
