Table names

Hi

I've inherited an Access database in which someone named one of the table transaction.

Does anyone know how to update this table using the standard delphi6 ADO components.

I'm not able to rename the table as there's a lot of apps that uses it.

Thanx

Hi Fick,

If you're dowing it within a TADOQuery, try using inverted comas around the table name:

select * from "transaction"

Cheers,

Stuart.

Thanx for making me think a bit

I tried the inverted commas without success but if you use square brackets everything seems to be going fine.

Hi Fick,

I'm a little curious as to why you only graded that question with a 'B'.  Didn't the answer work perfectly for you?  It doesn't cost you any more to award an A than a B and it keeps my awarded grade history perfect.

The inverted comas didn't work ... I got some kinda error when I tried that so I looked at access again and tried '[' which worked.

Sorry just trying to be honest. If I can I'll change.
