there is a major problem on a clients machine. It has windows 2000 professional installed on it. Whenever I want to install anything on it as soon as the setup starts, the offline folder sync starts up and says that the offline folders will be synced now. And then the installer dies. Nothing gets installed. Have disabled offline folders from the Control Panel\Folder Options but no effect. Please can someone help me out.. I really need the solution asap

Thanks
Niv

Check gpedit.msc and drill down to user config | admin templates | network |  offline files

was on my way to reinstall all the stuff on the clients machine but ended up recovering the windows install and the problem was rectified. Booted up with the win2k cd. followed a normal path for install but when it checked to see if there was any previous installs of windows, when it found the previous install, I chose the recovery option in this screen. This replaced all the windows files and now the system is up and running. Thanks for the help guys
