Getting data from another web site

Is there anyway to do this? I am trying to get data from another website. That website has a search function but i want the result to be populate to my DB. IS that possible? Can i get the http header of the return page?

In ASP, i can use HTTPPOST. Is there something like that in JSP?

you have to use URLConnection or use an API such as:
http://www.innovation.ch/java/HTTPClient/

to use URLConnection:
http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/networking/urls/readingWriting.html
