im using visual basic to make a program with mysql database and i need to put a picture into a BLOB field.
i use load_file() function but it needs that the file must be on the server.

Is any way to use load_file with a file on the client machine?

or maybe another way to put the file into the field without using load_file?

Using Blob for storing image makes u r application slow. store that in a directory.....generate a file name for the image adn store the image name in the database.
