WE have a family calendar that we use in Outlook.  3 subscribers, myself, wife and son.  We all get our updates.  Question is: How can I get the updates via emails on my laptop also?

What have you tried so far?  I have never tried to add a remote user as a NetFolders recipient, but in principle it should work.  I would think you would need to put the laptop on that network and set up an individual email address for it.  When you plug it in and check the email it will synchronize.
According to http://support.microsoft.com/search/preview.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q195867 it will work with anyone you can send email to.

I have tried nothing, but your response is probably right.  I was hoping there was a way to backup and restore the calender function/netfolders/settings.  Ive got the calender but no updates.  I was hoping that, since a copy of emails is left on the server, that there would be a way to get them on the laptop via the same email address.

Need to figure out how your initial acceptance to receive the updates is stored.

There is also quite a bit of help on NetFolders at www.slipstick.com
Just do a search for NetFolders.  Maybe it will help.
