Suddenly cannot FTP files in Dreamweaver UltraDev
I can no longer FTP my files from my home computer. I had not had problems before switching from a dial-up connection to DSL so I suspect that may have something to do with it. Any ideas?

Open your site in Dreamweaver, on the Menu click "site", select "define site", select your site name and click "edit". Select "remote info" and make sure all is configured correctly: Under "remote access", ftp should be selected. Your DSL provider should have given you the correct info for the "FTP Host", "Host Directory", "Login" and "Password". You can check "save", but leave the three other choices unchecked. That should do it.

If you are sure that "FTP Host", "Host Directory", "Login" and "Password" are correct, try to set the "passive mode"
Edit Site -> Remote info -> Check the Passive mode FTP
If you have a firewall (ex. ZoneAlarm) you have to set the passive mode or it won't' work.

I used to have a company host my web site and the ONLY way i could upload and/or modify my site was to use FrontPage.
M$ FrontPage uses some sort of HTTP publishing method and i could never get it to work with Dreamweaver.
Ask your ISP if it is possible to publish/modify your site using Dreamweaver.
