I actually got it working by removing the device in My Computer, Hardware, and rebooting. It didn't plug and play but Control Panel, Add New Hardware worked.<br />

My Conexant modem has been working fine for 2 years. Today I get a message that Windows cannot detect mode; it may not be installed properly. Checked out phone socket with my kid's PC - OK.<br />

Do these things just stop working sometimes. They are only £25 but it's annoying. BTW I recently replaced my CD-ROM drive as it also stopped working.
