Slow update after moving site to other drive

Hi I have moved the site tree form drive D to drive C, and now it takes forever to rename a file of the site.
- I have tried to import the site to the c location, but the import program crashes every time. - So I need another way to do it !

When you say you moved the site did you just copy it from one drive to the next?  Why not just publish the site to the c drive.

Could the slow update speed be because fastfind didnt run ?
