hi , about ado providors , how can i know the string which i must use in the open statement for every providor , how can i know the avaliable providors , where these providors comes from , and what providors support index \ seek method , thanx

Or... If you want to build your own.

Click on Start->Run & type ...
notepad mytest.udl
Save this blank file, and exit.

Click on Start->Run & type...
mytest.udl

this will open a dialog which lets you choose provider / options / etc...

Click OK, then open the same file with notepad or other text editor.

Click on Start->Run & type ...
notepad mytest.udl

You will see the connect string.
