experts,

I write a DCOM sample. When I use client application & server in a local machine, it can work correctly,

but , when I distribute the client to another machine, ( and I confirm I distribute midas.dll also), and config the DCOM with "DCOMCNFG", it always raise a exception, tell me interface not supported or refused.

I add "Everyone" to ID  authentication, I'm sure the other machine can active the server and visit the server, I make "guest" active also, but.... the client couldn't work at all....

I heard about it's difficault to config the DCOM, pls give me advise.

oh, my god, who can help me,

OS:windows2000 professional

I need a sample
thanks

I think 'Interface not supported' means that the interface is not registered at all. If this is the case you cant solve the problem in dcomcnfg.

Dont know if this will help you, Im not sure sure if [qoute] 'interface not supported or
refused' is your exact error message or not.

(I think the second site will suit you more)

HI,
Before trying to help you (if you still need it) some questions to you:
1.Locally your programs (both the client and the server)
work fine on both of computers.
2.Both computers belong to the same domain or simply standalone ones.
Sincerely,
Nestorua.
