unique column in crystal reports

Hi Everybody

Somebody asked me in interview - How a unique column looks in crystal reports ? I told him that just like other columns, because it is unique it wont display any duplicates- is this right ?

Please clarify me?

I don't find anything that refers to UNIQUE COLUMNS in the CR documentation.  I suspect what you answered is what he was epecting but it is the only reference to unique I can find in CR is to distinct or unique records.

yeah  i told him the same answer as above but he is not satisfied , i checked in CR documentation  nothing special in there?

I have written over 100 CR reports, searched the CR web site extensively, looked at numerous "experts" pages on CR, searched CR documentation, etc and have never seen anything about UNIQUE COLUMNS.  The only reference is to using DISTINCT in the SQL statement to as you said ensure no duplicate records.

Leave this question open for a few more days, maybe somebody will be able to shed light on this.
