problem with ASP pages on IIS

I have

Windows 2000 Advance Server
Service Pack 2 installed
Internet Information Server

No ASP pages where objects of the ASP Object Model is instanciated are working, including the default sites IISSAMPLES,IISADMIN,IISHELP. It says "Internal Server Error" and tells me to check the Event Viewer. The Event Viewer says "No such Interface"

I did the following

* uninstalled and reinstalled IIS
* regsvr32 asp.dll
* uninstall and reinstall IIS from SP2

nothing worked, I dont know what else to do, can you help me?

can you post the entire event message error entry, with event id, event source, and description?
are you running Crystal Reports on that server?

CR8 makes changes to the registry that can cause problems running IIS.  Here's a patch that should fix it:
