Hi...

I am a newbie here.. so please forgive me if my question is
a silly one...

I have a source code of an application written in VC++

The questions ...

1)would it be easy for me to change some thing s that are NOT related to the language/code ?

for example, there is a URL in the about menu of that software, can i safely change that URL to another one?

2) What do i need to do so?
I have MS visual Studio package (VB + VC++) is it enough?

3) How to compile the application again (after small changes i'll make?

Currently the final application is a .exe file, so how to
make the instalation program again?

Please tell me if my questions are missing more info?

thanks

If you have the complete VC++ source code, included should be a workspace file containing all the settings VC++ needs to compile the program into a .exe file. This workspace file will end in .dsp, .dsw, or .mdp.

I would first try to compile the application yourself before making any changes. You should see the option in the Build menu. If that works, then you can search all the files for the URL you want to change and modify it to your liking.
