What version of Exchange Server? What Service Pack? Do you have backups?

- If you give me a short list of things to check on an exchange server 5.5 sp3 when something is wrong - the points is yours !
- The problem was with an externally hosted firewall - and the company has solved the problem - But to end this question - ill give all of the points to you if you supply this list !

You said that some clients can't receive email. What type of client are you talking about (a PC or a username)?
Are all the problems related to a particular set of PCs or a particular set of users?
Are all the problems related to a particular set of PCs or a particular set of users?
The problem was with an externally hosted firewall, as already stated. That would make it network wide.

A couple of hours before this error started - I installed timesync on the server. - Now I have uninstalled it, but there are no change.
