I have Exchange 2000 running with conferencing server.  The problem that I have is dealing with Internet connections.
When people connect locally they can hear each other and everything seems fine.
When someone comes in from the Internet they can not hear people talking locally but the local people can hear people connected over the Internet talking.

There must be a setting of some sort that needs to be configured on the Conference server.

Any help appreciatted.

Well, not a conferencing server guru, but you might use this to verify the settings are correct.

I know you didn't specifically mention errors, but you might check the following two KB's out.

Are there any errors from the server side or client side?

What O.S. is on the machines we are running the conferences from?
