Seems like the classpath is set wrongly.
The jvm can't find the org.apache.xercs.parsers.DOMParser class, that's why a NoClassDefFoundError occurs.
Try

echo $CLASSPATH

on your commandline (under windows, try 'set' and search for your classpath). It has to include the javadir/lib/tools.jar, where 'javadir' is the directory your jdk is in.

Hope this helps.

It is definetely a classpath problem. Find out in which jar file the DOMParser resides and add this jar file explicity to your classpath by doing: export CLASSPATH=$CLASPATH:<path to your jar file>

 Hope it helps.
